Biography of Pastor Victor Okereke
Pastor Victor Okereke’s Profile (DE EDIFIER) Victor Okereke was born in Oyigbo, Nigeria. He is from Okpala, Ngor Okpala local government area in Imo state, South-East Nigeria. His father, Mr Chima Franklin Okereke and his mother Mrs Grace Ihuoma Okereke. He is the second in the family of six children. He was inspired when He saw Bro Cornelius Benjamin, a prominent Nigerian gospel music icon in concert over twenty years ago and since then, His passion for music has grown and translated into various musical experiences. In his early years, he developed a rather uncommon interest for music (worship and ariaria)and began listening, imitating and playing to the music of Cornelius Benjamin and others. Joined a group in oyigbo as to develop himself. About that time Victor, as he is fondly called, was approached by one of the most respectable figures in the music circle, Uche Ibezim, who took him and trained in music. As time passed, Victor began sensing a deep yearning within. There was more to his music than he thought. He later took time off his numerous mainstream commitments to seek the Lord under the Mentor-ship and guidance of Uche Ibezim This decision attracted fierce criticisms from friends, Artistes and colleagues who thought it unthinkable abandoning what was becoming a thriving mainstream music career to serve exclusively. As he developed an intimate fellowship with the Holy Spirit, He then realized that music was more than an item to fill a space in time but was a fundamental tool in the praise and worship of the Lord. Soon after, a music ministry was born and for Victor, the main thrust was WORSHIP – Munath-Trust in the Lord with all your heart – one that ministered exclusively to the Lord and an avenue through which HE related with His people. His keyboard playing coupled with a calm singing style has since ushered many in concerts, crusades and churches into the presence of the LORD. Victor, a graduate of Electrical Electronics Engineering at the Federal Polytechnic Nekede Owerri, also had served as a music director in so many places. He writes, sings with diverse groups of musicians click here to get the latest

About the new release music impression that turned depression down by pastor victor okereke
The spirit of God woke me up and gave me this song on the 7th of January before my birthday 9th of January. Because i asked for a birthday gift The song reminded me where Jesus picked me Dusted me Qualified the unqualified Picked me from dungeon Placed me on a kings high way. I dedicated the song to THE QUEEN AFTER THE KING'S HEART and it has been in the public domain till now, still blessing the world I met a friend who fell into a serious depression, had lost hope and tried committing suicide. God told me make her your friend, clean her up, give her hope and bring her to me. It wasn't easy though, but one thing I told myself is WHEN GOD SENDS A MAN HE BACKS HIM UP. I started the journey with her, told her depression is a name but Jesus is a super name. I created a slogan for my journey with her, which is "GOD WILL GIVE YOU AN IMPRESSION THAT WILL TURN DEPRESSION" and she will say Amen. Little did I know that He who sent me is planning to make something out of nothing. God gave me a song for her through that slogan. Titled : IMPRESSION THAT TURNED DEPRESSION DOWN Have you ever felt restless? Maybe you feel anxious right now but can’t put your finger on why. I think we’ve all experienced it, not realizing this feeling can come from the fact that we’re not content with our life. We think we’re missing something, so we begin to search for it. Maybe it’s from a lack of fulfillment at work or happiness in a relationship or satisfaction at home. Unfortunately, a lot of times we look in all the wrong places for something to fill our empty spaces. Some people look to food while others look to alcohol or drugs. Some try to find meaning and purpose through other people’s lives on social media.
